Everest Base Camp Trekking Normal

Fly early morning from Kathmandu to Lukla, a scenic mountain flight landing on a high-altitude airstrip. After arrival, begin your trek descending slightly to Phakding. This day helps you warm up and adjust to the altitude gradually. Overnight in Phakding.

Trek through beautiful rhododendron forests and cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. The trail gradually climbs, and you’ll enter Sagarmatha National Park. Arrive at Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa hub and main trading center of the region.

Take a rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore Namche Bazaar village, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike up to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. This day helps your body adjust to higher elevations.

Descend slightly from Namche, then continue trekking through pine forests and small Sherpa villages. Pangboche is one of the oldest villages in the Everest region, home to a famous monastery. Enjoy the cultural atmosphere and views of the surrounding mountains.

From Pangboche, take a short hike to the Ama Dablam Base Camp area for spectacular views of this iconic peak. Then continue trekking to Dingboche, a beautiful village nestled in a valley. Dingboche offers great views of Island Peak and other Himalayan giants.

Spend the day resting and acclimatizing. You can take an optional hike to Nagarjun Hill (around 5,100m) for stunning panoramic mountain views. This rest day helps prepare your body for higher elevations ahead.

The trail ascends steadily, crossing moraines and open landscapes. Labuche is a small settlement near the base of the glacier, quieter and less developed than previous stops. Prepare for colder temperatures as you gain altitude.

Trek through rugged terrain with views of Pumori and the Khumbu Glacier. Gorakshep is the last stop before Everest Base Camp and sits beside a small lake. It’s a simple settlement but a key base for summit attempts.

Start early to hike up to Everest Base Camp, soaking in spectacular glacier and mountain views. After spending time at EBC, descend back down to Gorakshep, and continue trekking down to Pheriche for a lower altitude overnight stay.

Descend through beautiful forests and villages back to Namche Bazaar. The trail is less steep but still long, giving you a chance to reflect on the journey so far. Overnight in Namche.

A long day trekking down through forest trails and crossing suspension bridges, ending in Lukla where the trek began. Prepare for the return flight.

Fly early morning back to Kathmandu. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Trekking adventure concludes.
