What gear should I bring?

Essential gear includes sturdy trekking boots, warm layered clothing, a down jacket, sleeping bag, gloves, hat, sunglasses, and personal climbing equipment if possible. Rental gear is available in Kathmandu.

With experienced guides, proper preparation, and acclimatization, the trek is generally safe. However, risks like altitude sickness, weather changes, and terrain challenges exist. Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and evacuation is strongly advised.

Can I hire a porter or guide?

Starting from Kathmandu, you fly to Lukla and trek through the heart of the Everest region, experiencing Sherpa culture, stunning landscapes, and panoramic Himalayan views.

After acclimatizing and visiting Everest Base Camp, you begin the climbing sections starting with Labuche Peak, followed by Island Peak, and finally Mera Peak, each presenting increasing altitude and technical challenges. Day 01 :

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m), then trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Start your adventure with a thrilling early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, known for its dramatic mountain runway. From Lukla, enjoy an easy trek along the Dudh Koshi river to Phakding, a small village nestled in pine forests, where you’ll spend your first night.

Day 02 :

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Trek uphill through rhododendron forests, crossing suspension bridges and small villages. You will arrive at Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa trading town and gateway to the Everest region. The steep climb here is rewarded with panoramic views of Everest and Ama Dablam.

Day 03 :

Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization

Take a rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore Namche Bazaar, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike to the nearby Everest View Hotel for stunning mountain vistas.

Day 04 :

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Pangboche (3,985m)

The trek continues through beautiful forests and yak pastures as you head to Pangboche village. Visit the ancient Pangboche Monastery and enjoy breathtaking views of Ama Dablam and other peaks.

Day 05 :

Trek from Pangboche to Dingboche (4,350m), passing through Ama Dablam Base Camp

Cross alpine meadows and moraine paths, passing by Ama Dablam Base Camp, a beautiful place surrounded by towering peaks. Dingboche offers great rest and acclimatization with spectacular mountain views.

Day 06 :

Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization

Use this day to rest and acclimatize. Optional hikes to nearby ridges offer magnificent views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and other mountains.

Day 07 :

Trek from Dingboche to Labuche (4,950m)

You begin ascending further into the high Himalayas toward Labuche, a small and remote village at the edge of the glacial moraines, where you prepare for the upcoming peak climbs.

Day 08 :

Trek from Labuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m)

Cross rugged terrain and approach Gorak Shep, the last stop before Everest Base Camp. This high-altitude settlement serves as a base for Everest expeditions.

Day 09 :

Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and return to Labuche

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar, the best vantage point to see Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants at sunrise. After soaking in the views, trek back down to Labuche.

Day 10 :

Trek from Labuche to High Camp (approx. 5,800m) for Labuche Peak climb preparation

Ascend toward High Camp, where you set up for your summit attempt on Labuche Peak. This camp is your base for the technical climb.

Day 11 :

Summit Labuche Peak (6,119m) and descend to Thukla (4,600m)

Summit day! With the help of your guides, you climb Labuche Peak, enjoying spectacular panoramic views. After the summit, descend to Thukla for rest.

Day 12 :

Trek from Thukla to Chhukung (4,730m)

Descend to Chhukung, a quiet village known as the base for Island Peak climbs. The trek offers beautiful views of surrounding peaks and valleys.

Day 13 :

Rest day at Chhukung for acclimatization

Rest and acclimatize at Chhukung. Prepare for the upcoming Island Peak climb by reviewing equipment and techniques with your guide.

Day 14 :

Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5,100m)

Trek uphill to Island Peak Base Camp. This camp marks the start of the technical ascent involving glacier travel and climbing.

Day 15 :

Summit Island Peak (6,189m) and descend to Chhukung

Early summit push with rope work, ice axes, and crampons required. After the climb, descend back to Chhukung for a well-earned rest.

Day 16 :

Rest day at Chhukung

Recovery day to rest your body after the Island Peak climb, prepare for the next phase, and enjoy the serene mountain surroundings.

Day 17 :

Trek from Chhukung to Amphulaptsa Base Camp

Trek toward Amphulaptsa Base Camp, a remote location beyond the typical trekking route, offering untouched mountain scenery.

Day 18 :

Cross Amphulaptsa Pass to the second Amphulaptsa Base Camp

Cross the high Amphulaptsa Pass, enjoying incredible mountain views and alpine landscapes, then descend to the next base camp.

Day 19 :

Trek from Amphulaptsa Base Camp to Setipokhari
