Langtang Valley Trek

The Langtang Valley Trek is a beautiful short trek that offers stunning mountain views, rich Tamang culture, and an immersive Himalayan experience. Located north of Kathmandu and close to the Tibetan border, this trail passes through bamboo forests, alpine meadows, and traditional villages all the way to the spiritual hub of Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 01 :

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m) – 7–8 hrs

Early morning drive through scenic hills and riverside roads to Syabrubesi, the trailhead for the trek.

Day 02 :

Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,470m) – 6 hrs

Cross the Bhote Koshi River and trek through bamboo forests. Gradual uphill climb through Langtang National Park.

Day 03 :

Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m) – 6 hrs

Follow the Langtang Khola with stunning views of Langtang Lirung. Reach Langtang Village, rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake.

Day 04 :

Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) – 4 hrs

A short scenic trek takes you to Kyanjin Gompa, home to a monastery and cheese factory surrounded by peaks.

Day 05 :

Exploration Day – Hike to Tsergo Ri (4,984m) or Kyanjin Ri (4,773m)

Day hike to Tsergo Ri or Kyanjin Ri for panoramic Himalayan views. Return to Kyanjin Gompa for rest.

Day 06 :

Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel – 6 hrs

Retrace your steps back down to the Lama Hotel. Enjoy the forested trail and mountain views.

Day 07 :

Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi – 5 hrs

Descend further through pine and bamboo forests to reach Syabrubesi.

Day 08 :

Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu – 7–8 hrs

Return drive to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
