Mera Peak & Everest Base Camp via Amphu Laptsa Pass

Take an early morning scenic flight to Lukla. Upon arrival, begin trekking through rhododendron and pine forests to reach Chutenga. Overnight at the teahouse.

Today is a steep ascent through dense rhododendron forest leading to the Zatrwa La Pass. After enjoying panoramic views, descend to Thulikharka for the night.

Descend through lush forests and follow the Hinku Valley trail. Trek through mossy pine forest with views of Mera Peak before reaching Kothe.

Walk along the Hinku River, enjoying views of Mera Peak and surrounding glaciers. Reach the small yak herder settlement of Thangnak.

Climb past moraine and glacial terrain with gradual elevation gain to reach Khare, the base camp of Mera Peak. Excellent views of Mera Glacier.

Take a rest day to acclimatize. Optional hike to Mera La or explore the glacier surroundings. Overnight at Khare.

Final gear checks, rope practice, and briefing by your climbing guide. Ensure you’re physically and mentally prepared for the climb.

Climb the steep glacier ridge with use of crampons to High Camp. Breathtaking views of Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, and Kanchenjunga from camp.

Start before dawn for the summit push. After enjoying 360° Himalayan views from the top, descend safely to Kongmadingma in the remote Hongu Valley.

Trek through isolated alpine wilderness, passing glacial lakes and wild terrain, finally reaching Seto Pokhari (“White Lake”), a serene and sacred site.

Head deeper into the high valley toward the base of the challenging Amphu Laptsa Pass. Prepare ropes and gear for the next day’s technical climb.

Start early to cross the icy Amphu Laptsa Pass using ropes and climbing equipment. After the strenuous ascent, descend to the village of Chhukung in the Imja Valley.

An easy day descending through alpine pastures and Sherpa settlements, enjoying views of Ama Dablam and the Khumbu Valley.

Trek above the tree line with views of Nuptse, Pumori, and Everest. Cross the Thukla Pass with its memorials to climbers before reaching Lobuche.

Trek along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. Rest here in preparation for Kalapatthar.

Early morning hike to Kalapatthar for sunrise views of Everest. Then descend through Lobuche to Pheriche.

A long day of trekking through Pangboche and Tengboche Monastery before reaching the lively village of Namche Bazaar.

Final trekking day through forests, crossing suspension bridges, and retracing the classic Everest trail back to Lukla.

Early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. End of the adventure.
